FAQs

  • Please click here to fill out the initial contact form. I will contact you by email within two business days to set up a free 15-minute consultation call.

  • The free 15-minute consultation call helps us each to determine fit. I’ll ask you to share a bit more about what brings you to therapy to make sure my skills and experience are a good match for your needs (so please schedule for a time that you can speak in private!). I’ll ask if you have any questions about me or my practice. If appropriate, we can discuss scheduling, insurance, and cost. If one or both of us determines that another therapist or type of treatment might work better for you, I will offer referrals.

  • Right now, I offer virtual therapy only.

  • You will be asked to add your credit card and insurance information to my online portal. Unless we’ve set up another arrangement, you will be automatically charged for the portion of the session you are responsible for (what insurance does not pay) following the session. My billing team and I submit claims to your insurance.

  • It happens! A strong therapeutic relationship is essential, so it’s important to work with someone you connect with. If that’s not me, I understand! Please let me know if something feels “off” about our work together. If we determine that your needs would be better met by another provider, I am very happy to connect you with other therapists. It’s quite normal to meet with a few different therapists before landing with someone who feels “right.”

  • It depends! Some people find themselves managing better after a few months of consistent weekly or biweekly therapy. Others, particularly folks presenting with complex trauma, may find it takes longer. Some people find therapy to be an important pillar of their general wellness practice and continue to attend “maintenance” sessions long after their initial concern has resolved.

  • I ask for 48-hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment. I make every effort to accomodate requests for appointment reschedules within my working hours. If we are unable to find a time that works mutually to reschedule appointments cancelled within 48-hours, a $100 late cancellation fee will apply.

The cancellation fee serves multiple purposes: It encourages commitment to the therapeutic process, while ensuring the availability of quality services (when sessions are cancelled late, I am unable to offer the slot to another client in need). The fee also supports fair compensation for the time I have set aside and allows me to maintain my commitment to your care.

  • At this time, I only meet with adult individuals.
